YOU LEAKED NOW WHAT?

You laugh.

You sneezed.

You jumped

You coughed.

And then you felt it.

A small drip.

It was maybe only a couple of drops. Enough to moisten your regular underwear. Enough to make you wonder if anyone else noticed.

First: you’re not the only woman this happens to.

Bladder leaks can occur at any age and for many reasons. Pregnancy and childbirth, changes in the pelvic floor, intense exercise, a very full bladder and just putting sudden pressure on the bladder can all play a part.

And no, you don’t need to be old to pee a little when you sneeze.

1. Don't panic

If it’s a small leak the first thing is just to get somewhere private.

You don't have to arrive to the conclusion that there's something seriously wrong.

Breathe in. Find the loo. Take a look at your pants.

2. Dry yourself

If your underwear is damp, change it if possible.

If your clothes are wet, use toilet paper or a clean towel to gently blot the area.

If you are out, a toilet is your best friend. Five minutes of silence can make the scene a heck of a lot less dramatic.

3.. Consider the cause of the leak

Did it happen when you were sneezing?

When you giggled?

While workimg-out?

or when you’d been holding your pee for hours?

Pay attention to the pattern.

Small, occasional leaks are not the same as frequent or increasing bladder leakage. If you have regular urine leakage, suddenly have trouble controlling your bladder, pain or burning when you urinate, blood in your urine or other new symptoms, talk to a health care professional.

4. Have a backup plan

If you know you’re going to be laughing a lot, be on the road for a while, do weight-lifting or just having one of those days when your bladder feels unpredictable, you don’t have to wait for a leak to happen.

Use Ride or Dry™ by Sync'd

It’s underwear that absorbs small bladder leaks, so you don’t have to wear a pad or  awkward panty liners.

And bonus points: you can spend your day not wondering if a sneeze is about to ruin your pants.

Ride or Dry fits like a regular underwear. Has a cotton-lined gusset and keeps you free from any leak-anxiety.

It's designed to catch urine before they reach your clothes.

Just put it on and go!

Remember...

You can't always predict a sneeze.

You can't always predict when someone will crack a really good joke.

And you definitely can't schedule your plans around your bladder.

But you can prepare.

Keep a spare underwear in your bag.  Don't hold your pee for extremely long periods. And if leaks are happening more often, visit a pelvic-floor therapist for consultation.

Because a little pee shouldn't require a little life.

Laugh. Sneeze. Jump. Go.

Your underwear should be able to take it all.
